I have tried all of the best 100% chocolate bars out there and this one is the best by far! The cacao flavor is deep, rich and sweet with none of the sourness that many of the other 100% bars have. The cacao butter content is high so it is very smooth and creamy. Highly recommended!

I keep my pantry stocked with this chocolate bar whenever I can find it in Santa Rosa, CA! It is creamy, delicious, smooth, never bitter, and guess what??? There is no added sugar or sugar substitutes….it’s not sweet, but has notes of fruit. The ingredients are just cacao beans, cocoa butter, and bourbon vanilla……that’s it!! So rich, creamy, and yummy! Every three or four months for about two years, I’ve been ordering a box of 10 of these bars and then shutting out the rest of the world for a few minutes a few times a week by savoring a piece. I don’t practice mindfulness because my mind wanders too much. Instead, I concentrate on a math or logic puzzle, a passage in a good book, or the intense flavor of this chocolate to bring a bit of clarity to my mind when I need it. (It doesn’t work with other brands of chocolate; I’m distracted by the question, “Why am I eating this and not a piece of 100% Dark Chocolate Gold?”). And no, I’m not an unredeemable gourmand. I’m otherwise frugal. These bars are my only gustatory luxury, and I won’t mind if they are always the only one.
